So when I tried to sell my fish, no one wanted one. I mean, they did WANT the fish but they didn't have or want to do anything with fish. My ex came home and asked me for the popeye black goldfish, so I thought, great, they're gonna go. But when she started hitting the fish with her hands, I figured she wasn't exactly kind of animals. With a rather hard kick on her tight ass, I sent her off and warned her never to buy fish EVER.
A few friends that I have, have neither the time nor the money to invest in anything other than themselves. My girl would love to take the black ones but since her parents are kinda conservative and not entirely knowledgeable of my existence, she has no explanation to provide at home. She's still gonna try hard but that leaves me with 10 other fish that I have to sell.
When I went to another LFS, I bought two small angels and two black mollies, since my financial position has me by the family jewels. Now when I added them to Asgard, everything was fine. The mollies are fine, but the angels seem a bit shy/timid/afraid, since it's so tough to make out the emotions of fish. But nothing has happened as of yet, and it's been two days already.
A distant friend of my father's, who's had fish for all his life, said I should never keep goldfish and angels together, coz they'd fight. Is this true??? He told me to get rid of the angels, coz I have only four of them. Two, if you remember, were gifted by my girl in a bowl, so I can't sell them, I told him. He then said I should either keep a tank full of either goldfish or angels or I should get a new girlfriend. Since I'm not willing to exchange the love of my life for a bunch of fish, I told him that I was gonna stick with my girl. As the older generation is wont to do, he shook his head and told me to get rid of the angels, since the goldfish were more in number. Then I asked him if I could sell off the goldfish, and just keep the angels. He said that was cool too, but I'd have a hard time selling the goldfish.
So anyways, I still plan to sell of the goldfish, all of them, even though they look beautiful in my tank. I'm gonna keep my girl's angels, they're grown larger now, almost the size of a matchbox, not counting the fins, which make them almost double the size. I'm also going to keep the two new angels I got and the mollies.
I just need to know:
1) Do angels and goldfish fight??
2) What other fish can be kept with angels??
Are there any really nice colourful fish that get along well with angels?? Which also grow soon?? Which will also spawn soon??
And one last question.
I try to feed live worms at least 3 times a week, though the LFS is about 30 minutes away. In the absence of worms, I feed them flakes and dry worms, though I've been told that the pellets are better, cheaper and don't colour up the tank. Does anyone know how I can culture worms??
I read an article on how this guy has tried to do it, with little success and the stench of **** just got too unbearable for him to continue, which is why he gave it up. Does anyone else know how??
