Asgard - 30 gallon tank, since December 15, 2002

Gravel - Predominantly white but otherwise colourful, not fine, pebble-shaped
Art - A triangular piece of driftwood, one artificial plant, five large stones of different uniform colours (red, yellow, green, black, blue) placed all over to provide hiding places, coloured background of tropical water. Added some Java fern recently, along with one clay pot with a plastic fisherman on it, and one glass bulb.
Aeration - two aerotors on opposite corners
Filteration - One submersible water filter with sponge (Bodygaurd AP800F), cleaned during alternate water changes
Temperature - Kept constant at 28 degrees Centigrade by a thermostatic heater
Food - Mainly of pellets, but also feed them freeze dried worms regularly, live tubifex once a week. Would love to get the flakes, which all the fish love, but it's too expensive.
Medicines - Super Ich & Rot Stop, 3 drops of each during every water change, and 8 drops of each during major water changes
Cleaning - 20% water changes every week, or twice a week. 99% water changes are made everytime the water is really discoloured or once a month. Sponge is cleaned every alternate time or every time, so are the heater and aerators. Water changes are made with a suction pump, with an up down motion on the gravel, to suck up all crap. Glass is wiped clean with a damp cloth whereever dirty

Inhabitants:
3 black mollies (1" without tails, bought on Jan 24, 2003)
1 black angel (0.75 inch without tail, bought on Jan 24, 2003)
2 white angels (0.5 inches without tails, bought on Jan 28,2003)
2 kissing gouramis (1" without tails, bought on Jan 28, 2003)
1 pl*co (4", bought on Jan 28, 2003)
2 marble angels (Hades & Phera) - Given by my girl, so they come first. Hades is about 2" without tails and Phera is only slightly smaller.

Previous Inhabitants Of Asgard

1 silver Asian arowana - Died within two days of bringing the tank, since no light was installed, no lid was present and he (I called him Judge) jumped off the tank and lay in the cold room for one hour early one monring until I found him and tried to save him. He eventually gave up and I burned his body according to the Hindu tradition, since he was the first to die and I did love him a lot.
Five orange platys, within a week of eachother, no known cause, though I think they weren't eating enough, the tank was cycling and I have a weird feeling that the goldfish and koi had something to do with it, but there is no proof
One white goldfish, who, for three whole days, was chased around the tank by the koi, who bit his tail and shoved him against the glass and gravel, almost mercilessly killing him, until they had reduced his tail to nothing. While he was first being snapped at, I noticed but was going for a holiday for about a week. I didn't have another place to keep him in, so I had to leave him in the tank. Two days later, my cousin found him dead and threw his body away. The koi began chasing him after January 3, 2003.
I sold my two koi on Jan 28, 2003. Good riddance, I say.
Four orange goldfish, two black or popeye goldfish, two calico or rainbow or fantail goldfish and one white goldfish - all have been moved out of the tank, and lived for a while in Hell. Now that they've been given away, Hell has become Arena
Two black mollies (female), which I bought much later. Both died within a day of keeping them in this setup. I think the male humped them too much and aggravated them.
One black angel, which I bought on Jan 24, but he died after almost three weeks. He was constantly hiding and scared and living in the back of the tank.

All fish are in perfect health and in total harmony, though one gourami (Bully) keeps chasing the other (Wussy) constantly. They've been kissing recently though. I tried cycling the tank once, which did happen but took 2 weeks, during which I lost some fish. After that, I have done three 99% water changes without cycling with no problems. Cycling was done when I was paranoid about the fish and read a lot online. Later, all my friends who did have aquariums, said that cycling is just a myth and it's not true. One uncle said that it was all crap and that he himself, for the last 30 years, had never cycled his tanks, and had changed his water once every six months.

I recently made a live worm-cicle, where I took some worms, dropped them in a little water and froze them overnight in the fridge. The next morning, when the frozen "wormicicle" had formed, I dropped it in the tank, which the fish hungrily ate up and seemed to relish. I am going to do this again :)

Atlantis - 2 gallon bowl, since November 22, 2002

Gravel - Small reddish gravel
Aerator - One small aerator, always off now
Art - One plastic boat with a fisherman in it.
No filter, no heater and he loves blowing bubbles.
Food - Whatever is liked by the betta in there, mostly live worms.
Medicines - One drop of ich stop and rot stop, every once a week
Cleaning - 100% water change, gravel cleaned and bowl cleaned, every time the water is dirty

Inhabitants:
One Betta Splendens or Siamese Fighting Fish - I call him Blue, after a character in the movie "Old School". He's... well, blue, with thin red streaks here and there.

Previous Inhabitants Of Atlantis
Hades & Phera, my two white and black angels, who I love and for whom I bought Asgard.

Arena - 7 gallon tank, since March 1, 2002

Gravel - 1" of golden sand, then 1" of regular pebble-sized gravel which is a mix of white and red gravel.
Aerator - It's used in the DIY UGF
Art - None yet.
Filtration - It's a DIY UGF that my LFS made for me, out of pvc tubes. The tube that comes to the top has a small plastic tubing running into a hole about an inch or two from it's base, and this is connected to the aerator. So it acts as an aerator and a pump for the UGF.
Food - Softened pellets, dry worms and live worms at least once a week.
Medicines - 3 drops of ich stop and rot stop, every once a week
Cleaning - 20% every week. Water is replenished whenever some has evaporated and during this time, I clean the gravel using a suction pump, with an up down motion on the gravel, to suck up all crap. Glass is wiped clean with a damp cloth whereever dirty.

Inhabitants:
6 neon tetras - about 1 cm in length
6 black stripe tetras - about 2 cm in length
1 pl*co - about 4 cm in length

Previous Inhabitants Of Arena, formerly called Hell
9 goldfish, which I managed to give away to the LFS who gave me the neons.
