I personally wouldn't spend money on a product that claims it can lower nitrates when I know a water change will do exactly the same thing.
I agree with Darkblade (even though I'm a newbie!)
I had issues with Algae after putting CO2 system (Hagen x 2) in my 30g. I just bought some Amano shrimp and they love eating the algae! Only problem is more shrimp exo-skeletons to vac out but i can live with that ;-)
