iam looking for a fish to scare my company.the midas is the top contender i but i was wanting some more fish in there to i know the midas will kill most other fish.the next in line is the jaguer if you tap the tank are run at it will it hide.im looking for something that will try to bite through the glass.something taht wont get skittish at all and is out ll the time. and it has to be freash water no african.jds,oscars, been there done that.rd lok a lil to boring for me to i want some thing that has striking looks.thanks

No glass bangers will allow other fish in their tanks. They bang the glass because their territory extends outside of the tank, meaning that the whole tank is their territory, and anything else put in there will be a target for severe liquidation.
How about an umbie??? Gets huge, has some of the most amazing colouration, and is possibly the least timid cichlid when it comes to human interaction.

It also depends on the disposition of your fish and the size tank and what tankmates you add. My 12 inch Midas has allowed 5 convicts, a pike cichlid and a blackbelt cichlid to live with him in a 210 gallon. He did not like the addition of an oscar so I had to take it out.
Just make sure everyone has a hiding place. My situation works because everyone else is smaller than the Midas and they can all get to hiding places he can't reach them in. Although, he's never chased anything but the cons and even that's a rarity. The pike and my striped convict are the ones that actually do all the chasing.

I think if you get a big enough Haplo Compressiceps, or a big, big texas cichlid, it will be a sight to see! I'm with you my friend, I'm all about agressive tanks and finding different live foods to give to my fish.
Right now, I have a little texas cichlid that chases a silver pacu everywhere and is slowly nipping off his fins, but the Pacu is growing at a sick rapid rate! He's eating 5 feeders every other day.

a shaol of gold or ruby red spilos. if dont want it a umbee,dovii,buttikoferi,fhaka,peacok bass,trimac. all those are extrmely mean and with color. if you want uglee ****ers then i suggest, wolf fish, bichers,lionfish,lungfish. i also think a aro would like good.
Try a dovii the most aggressive cichlid you can get your friends will adore there teeth grasping at everything that past. And ask one of mine I dare you to put your hand in there. the only thing that could compare is a umbee. THe only thing that can beat it is a red belly piranah.
