i want another cat ive got a pictus, i want another cat that is semi aggressive but only gets 8 to 10 inches and is active. what can someone recomend? thanx

I'd recommend another Pictus as they seem to like pairs and groups from what I've seen and read, though they will not suffer from being kept a solitary fish. I like the interaction I've seen between two or more.
Other choices if you want to stay in C. & S. America are Cats like the Jaguar or Lace cats, they max out at the sizes you specify and are fairly common.

I'd also highly recommend another Pictus.
I had one for around a month, and he was rather quiet, i'd hardly see him during the day. I had enough room in my tank and so decided to get another.
I'm so glad i did both of them fly about the tank all day, and love it, you hardly ever see them parted, exept at feeding time, when the have they're 2 minutes of madness

i used to have a pair of 4lined pictus that were great together, that was years and years ago. i now have a pair of 4lines (new ones) a spotted and an angelicus. they never get within about 8-10" of eachother and fight if they do.... i dont know why 
if you dont want another pictus cat, i like lace cats as well, or bumblebee cats (although i dont see much of my bumblebee cat)
