I have one 24" 75 watt bulb, am I going to need a special ballast. The ballast I have now only has one 20 watt bulb. What do I need to do to support such a high wattage 24 inch bulb?

Yeah, the ballast and endcap need to be rated at 75 watts.

that's a "VHO" bulb, look for a VHO ballast that says it supports a 24" light.

Also so that you know VHO's need to be replaced a little more often than NO, I usually change my NO's about 8 months and I personally would change the VHO's every 6 months.....just keep an eye on plant growth, I'll see mine slow a little at about 7-8 months and then A LOT if I leave it on longer than 11months.
