Could it be possible that my ADFs are playing with the bubbles the blow on the surface? Two of them are making bubbles, then eating them, and at times blowing bubbles at each other and eating them. Also they are nipping at each other. Perhaps they are hungry, though they have been fed recently.

They are very active, seem healthy. Want to make sure it isnt low oxygen in the water. I have a whisper filter causing surface aggitation...is that enough to oxygenate.

or i am over reacting.

Since ADF breath air from above the surface of the water, I dont think oxygenation of the water should be a problem. I could very well be wrong though.

My two ADF's will lunge at anything that moves. After they rise to the surface to gulp some air they always burp out a bubble or two when they get back to the bottom to keep from floating back up. ADF's will do all kinds of crazy things and are lots of fun to watch.

I had a good laugh when one mistakenly grabbed my betta's tail thinking it was lunch. The betta looked quite confused.

Confused...I'd cry. I cinsidered putting my betta with the 4 adf monsters, but their appetite is endless (worms, rocks, frog feet, bubbles, etc), and my betta does well enough eating his own tail. I think my pets need therapy.

oh the frog quickly let go when he realized that the betta was not his usual supper of tubiflex worms. I would recomend checking petsmart's reptile food section, they have 2 foods made specifically for aquatic frogs. Worked great for me for about 2 days, then my betta developed an appetite for it!!!
