Crypt melt....what to do?

My crypt is melting and i have no clue why? Any ideas on why? And what should I do to help it? Thanks for any info

Did you recently plant or replant or disturb the roots? Crypts are notorious for melting a little after root disturbance. Usually if you leave it alone, it will send up new leaves and be just fine.

I'm a newcomer when it comes to planted tanks but here's my recent experience. I planted my first tank a few weeks ago and it included lots of crypts: lutea, lucens, and wendtii reds. Everything with the exception of the lucens melted fairly dramatically within a few days of planting. In the meantime everything has sprouted back great and no melted shoots remain. They even threw off a couple of new shoots during a 96 hour blackout for green water.

I'd leave them be and let them recover.

Crypts melt for no reason in particular. Small changes in water chemistry or temp. will trigger a melt. Sometimes if you look at them funny they will melt:).
I have planted them out of water of a completely different set of parameters with no melt what-so-ever, and had them melt, after being established in my tank for years.
Leave them alone....don't move or disturb them, and they will come back in a few weeks, stronger than ever. It's just what crypts. do. :) :)
