how do i Propagate this plant

i have a Dwarf Acorus in my tank,i know its not a true aquatic plant (think its a bog plant)but i does nice in my tank.

i was wondering how to propagate it...does it need division or will it send top or under ground runners?

You would propogate it from cuttings at the base (making sure you have sufficient root on the piece you are cutting away). According to my plant book, it should last about a year submerged.
