I have moved the mother father and all fry to a 29 gallon tank.
( the oscars are sure alot happier)!

And the parents seem like wonderful parents, every night they
move them back into the hollow log and back out in the morning,
but the fry remain congregated in one corner of the tank,
I crush up flake food and try to get it back there but it goes
all over the tank. I think that i can get some blood worms back
there, can they eat those?

Any suggestions on how to get food to these guys?

Thanks!
Dianne

feed your parent convict flakes or pellets and the parents will crush it up for them into fine peices and then they will feed them to the babies. what i ususally do is let them search around the tank for scarpes on the bottom of the tank. once swimming independantly then you can feed them flakes. all fries have a small stomach so they dont have to eat much

Brine shrimp larvae work well but can be a bit of a pain to hatch. You might buy one of those plastic hatcheries that seem to work better than a 1 gallon jar.
