Hi,
I have a sword plant, not sure what type it is. Its doing really well in the tank though, so i am guessing this one is an aquatic plant. Well, since being in the tank up at the very top of some blooms, it is growing what appears to be roots. Does this mean I need to cut those and replant them or might that just be the type of plant it is? It really looks like roots though but they are growing about 10" above the subtrate.
Thanks

Those will become new plants. This is how the sword plants propagate themselves. after the roots grow to be a few inches long you can plant it. I usually leave the stem from the parent plant on for a while just to make sure it gets good nutrients for a while.
