Yep

Is it just me, or is their a large boom with dwarf puffers? a.k.a. pea puffers, pygmy puffers, etc. I was hoping that most aquarium hobbyists had gotten to the point where they researched before they bought new fish... So many fish will the puffer shred.

Well....schmoobeast..i bought them cheap and their a part of the cycle...and id like to see one of these lil **** ant puffers shread a 4 inch green terror and jd and oscar.....i was just asking to see if they were worth saving from my large cichlids once they get in their

Well, congratulations. Dwarf Puffers have been known to take on fish much larger than themselves and win.

There's a thread a few pages back entitle "Dwarf Puffers" that you should read, it could be very helpful. Also go to dwarfpuffers.com.

As Harlock said they can take on bigger fish. Many a foolish LFS have I seen put DPs in with their fish, and you can always see the damage to the others fins. Unless your Oscars are full grown and huge they usually get picked on.

I must shake my head to the comment about how they were cheap and it's a part of the cyle. You should look into fishless cycling. It's so much kinder on the fish and would prevent mistakes like purchasing puffers as a cycle fish. If you're just going to buy them for cycling you shouldn't buy them. DPs are awesome just on their own and definately worth saving.

DP's should always be kept in a species tank and are NOT community tank members. *Shakes Head* Come on people, research

I don't think he was asking to get flamed. He just asked if anyone knows if he should move them out or not.
