Hello. I just started a planted aquarium for the first time and I seem to have a problem with the plants turning black. I don't know if it's the plants themselves or if there's something growing on them. The plants are anubias nana, cryt lutea, and I think a val corkscew. It's a five gallon tank w/ about 2 inches of flourite and laterite. I use Flourish and Flourish Iron once every 3-4 days. For CO2 I use a DIY injector. I also change about 20% every two weeks or so. The only fish that was in there was a flowerhorn fry. Now there's just two mollies. Any advice is appreciated.

Sounds to me like that might be an algae problem. There are a lot of nutrients in that tank and very slow growing plants for the most part. Does it look hairy? Or do they look like spots? Could it be brown?
