Hi there,

I recently bought a 10 gal. aquarium. I have had it for about 5 weeks and it has three tetras residing in it. In the last week, I noticed white strains creeping across the driftwood in the tank. Today I noticed that it has moved to the glass on the aquarium, both rocks and the fake plant, but not on the real plant. In some places it hangs like broken spider webs with small bunches almost like mini- cotton balls..

I dont know if this description helps but any advice or ideas would be much appreciated. :)

Yes, it definitely looks like the second picture of the staghorn algae (white). What can I do to get rid of it?
