Bad Heater-Ebo Jager

Dang it! My 50W Ebo Jager stopped working. The light stays on but no heat. Went to my records to send it back but I bought it 2years and 2months ago!!! :mad2 BA's has the 2year warranty but I'm outta luck.
Worse, all my other "good" submersible heaters are being used so I had to stick a cheap hang on heater on there. The inhabitants seem o.k....java moss, java fern, bazillion cherry shrimp, some snails.
 
Before Eheim took over Ebo-Jager, all their heaters had a spotless record. Now that Eheim took over, the Ebo-Jagers have kinda dropped in quality, I noticed.
 
Odd, given Eheim's equally spotless quality record. Someone threw a kibosh into the works during the buyout?
 
If i remember correctly the buyout wasent even a full year ago. The heater in question was bought over 2 years ago and made probibly a few months befor that. maybe the quality was sliding befor the buyout or simply seems that way...

What kind of shape is the now broken ebo in? Is it beaten up? Does it still look relatively new?

Although it may involve you sending me the heater.

Viking PM me and I will see if there is anything that I can do about the warranty.
 
Sure thing Scott! Just a scrub with a sponge and the thing looks brand new! No water internally...I don't know what...? It's been in a 15gal with nothing but cherry shrimp and snails...nothing to beat it up and it was positioned so that at water changes, I wouldn't have to unplug it or move it. I'm not trying to start a hate club against Ebo either. This is just my experience. My EJ 200W that I bought at the same time is doing just fine. Although it hasn't been in steady use since then but used nonetheless.
