I don't have too much experiance with a betta but my new one seems overly aggressive. If you go by the tank he flares at you if you feed him he flares. Last night i watched him fight the thermometer in his tank for 40 min. He kept flaring and would occasionally ram into it. Is this normal? I was considering putting him in my main tank, but if this is any sign of the way he will be i think i will pass!! My betta----> :mad2
Lol Friend...well he does sound a bit on the aggressive side. If you did put him in the community..he'll either bully the other fish....or....he'll be intimidated and get some bullying himself....or...he'll do just fine and not be a problem at all. All you can do is give it a go and see what happens...and definitly be on hand to watch and keep an eye on the situation until you are sure it's ok. Be ready with the net just in case !

Sounds like you have a crazy one on your hands  . I might just leave him where he is if you have a suitable tank for him!! Mine did not like the metal thermometer I had in the tank at first, I think he could see his reflection! I would double check that he can't hurt himself on the thermometer if hes still fighting it
