What kind of fish should I add?

I have a community tank set up with 5 zebra danios, 3 sunburst platies, 2 glassfish, 1 bala shark, 1 green cory, 1 spotted cory, and 1 albino cory. I want to add a school of active, pretty, fish that will get along with the rest of my tank. Any suggestions or improvements I could make?
Thanks!

The glass fish would like to have brackish water, the bala shark needs a bigger tank in the future, and the cories would like more companions.

BTW, the 55 is fully stocked with just the needlenoses, and they are a brackish water fish, meaning no oscar or pleco, or you can have the oscar and plec, but no needlenoses.

How is this setup (current setup listed in signature):

Make the 10 gallon a brackish water tank and put the two glassfish in there, along with three others of the same species?

Add another cory of each species to 40 gallon?

Make 55 gallon brackish and take oscar out and put in own tank?

BTW, if I wanted to have two oscars in a tank, what would be the minimum tank size I could have?

How many gallons does the bala shark need?

Finally, if I added three cories (like I said earlier), would I have room for five harlequin rasboras? Are they schooling fish?

IMO, oscars need a minimum of 55 gallons each, so for two oscars, I would have a 125 gallon tank

IMO you should remove the bala from your 40g tank and add 3 glass catfish to this tank, they are happier in schools of at least 4. They DO NOT, need salt added. They are a scaleless fish and are sensitive to water conditions requiring very clean and stable water.

I am purchasing 4 next week and am doing research on them JFYI :)

Okay, so leave the glassfish in the 40 gallon and add a few more to their gang. Take the bala out and (probably) return him to the LFS.

Take out the oscar and find a place for him somewhere.

Take out the pl*co. Is there any kind of pl*co that I could put in my tank? I kinda like the little guy.

In the 40 gallon, if I take out the bala, add three glass fish, three cories, and five harlequin rasboras, would I be at or over my limit? Could I possibly add three blue platies as well?

BTW, how would I make my 55 gallon brackish for my needlefish?

Thanks!

I think you would be ok with what you want to do with the 40g, that would be about the limit IMO. I would also definately return the bala, they like to be in groups and can get 10-12 inches+. I would not keep that number (alone) in any smaller than a 125, they can be pretty skittish. For the 55g if it is still freshwater after you decide what to rearrange, you could get a bristlenose pleco, I think there are a few others that stay pretty small, but I have a B.N in my 60g and he is a great algae eater. Also you could consider getting 2 of the spotted corys and one each of the green and albino, my albino and green corys school together, so you might get lucky there!
