Myriophyllum aquaticum (Green)

I found some of this stuff at petsmart the other day (Saturday) and added it to my rank. It was a bit bent over at the time and about 5inches tall. Twenty four hours later it was about 7 inches tall and I figured it had just straightened out. The first bit reached the top of the water today, that is about 12 inches from the substrate.

I checked at the tropica site today and they say this stuff is difficult, needs a rich substrate, CO2 and high light. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with this plant. I can move it into a part of the aquarium that has less light and a less fertile substrate. I am wondering if that would slow it down, and if it would stay there or do the let go of the roots thing and become a floater.

I was growing Myrio at 2WPG, 25-30ppmCO2 and filter sand. I don't see a problem if it's growing at a rate of 2-3 inches a day.

Okay thanks. At this rate I suppose I can just move some cuttings and see. I just want to decide where things are going to go in the end. Then make one last attempt to move things around.

Was looking at your tanks this am, very nicely done.

Thank you. I've replanted a few of those tanks, I need new pix once everything clears.
