I purchased a couple of what I believe to be SAE's that were mislabeled as Flying Foxes. I'm pretty sure they are True SAE's but would just like to get an opinion from those who own one or either before acclimating them into my tank. Thanks! BTW, I have compared them to the pics and links to thekrib and fishbase, etc., but I just want to double check with those who have these.

Yes, they look like Crossocheilus siamensis to me. It's a little hard to tell if the black stripe extends through the tail, but the clear fins are a pretty good indication. They're great fish, enjoy them :)

Thanks for the replies, guys. I thought that's what they were. I went to a LFS that had these as "true" SAE's, but forgot my wallet so I went home to get some cash. I decided to stop by another, smaller LFS on my way back since it was on the way, and they had these "Flying Foxes" for 1/4 the price, so I picked up a few. Here's another, clearer pic of the SAE's after I accidentally dumped 1/4 can of flakes into my tank.

Yes, they are for sure SAEs. I am SO jealous! I have called all of my LFS requesting these fish and none will get them for me. I'd buy over the net, but the shipping is outrageous. Lucky you! You will love them!
