+ iron? I opted for these instead of the flourish because they came with 24 tabs for like the same price, opposed to 10. Do you suppose they are just as good?

FYI they have:
Soluble Potash 6.0%
Calcium 5.5%
Magnesium 0.65%
Sulphur 6.5%
Boron 0.07%
Chloride 6.0%
Iron 4.0%
Manganese 0.2%
Sodium 2.0%

I use them in a heavily planted tank, and their just fine, as log as YOU ARE CAREFUL. If you move your plants a lot, dont use root tabs. If you dont, make sure you place the tabs as deep as possible to avoid any of it to get into contact with the water above the gravel. If this does happen, be prepared for a major algae outbreak.

Other then that, they are perfectly fine from my experience!

Just one question though, are you using any special type of gravel such as flourite?

Nah, I just have some spaghnum peat moss mixed in with the gravel, thus the root tabs.

And yeah, my tank is probably considered moderately planted. Click the link in my sig.

I was just asking because I couldn't find anything on jungle tabs, and they were like half the price per tab compared to Flourish. Wondered if there was a quality difference and why so many people use flourish... 3.29/24 tabs (on amazon.com -compared to 4.69/10 tabs of flourish). If there isn't a problem with them, well, I guess I'd like to let you all know they're a budget alternative... I'm using them in conjunction with Flourish Excel (for carbon) and Hagen Plant Gro (to supplement the leaves). This is my first time with an aquarium and especially my first time with live plants so, sorry for the silly questions.

Not sure if this is true or not, but i have heard that Seachems are "less" dangerous if they are accidently released into the water.

No idea if thats true, but i mean if yor confident that you wont release any into the water, i see no reason to not go with the Jungle labs, as they do a mighty fine job from my experience!

Although, again, ive never tried Seachem, and will be giving them a shot next time.

Jobe's for 'lush palms and ferns' can be had at walmart for 1.00 or so a package. Good for root feeding plants like swords. I haven't yet needed to, but I'm going to try it in a couple months. This is by the advise of someone on here who knows. :D
