I'm very concerned, my Pleco has a growth on his fin. It's light beige and actually looks like the color of his underbelly suction cups but it's on the top side edge of his fin.

I have photo's but I don't know how to insert an image.

Anyone have any inkling of what this condition might be?

Thanks, D

its not a tuma :) I don't really know what it is, I just thought that would be funny since you were thinking about Kindergarten Cop also.

WTF?

Anyway, you really need to get some pics of this lump/growth.

The tumour is beige in colour.

As for attaching images if it is possible put it on another website and then link to it using the image tag button where you write your response. Or to attach an image directly do the same thing but make sure it is small. That sn't the greatest explanation but a quick forum search for attaching images will probably be better help for you.

Haaa, I'm happy to see someone appreciates my humor!

Oh hmm, I just found these reply's - I thought no one was responding because I'm not receiving the reply's in my email inbox like I used to.

Well thanks for replying - I went to the pet shop and they suspected it was a fungus. They gave me a bottle of PimaFix Antifungal remedy and a bottle of MelaFix Antibacterial remedy. The directions are to turn off the filter, add 1 tsp. per 10 gallons once daily for 7 days, then change 25% of the water.

Well I did this for 1 day and the thing was gone - fell off or something - but it was gone. I noticed a little nitch out of fin where the tuma once resided and it was red there now. That spot has healed but now a new tumor has surfaced on the same fin just in a different spot and it's not quite as large as the first - yet.

I ceased administering the drugs they gave me as my goldfish started to look funny when I added that to the tank. I'm new at this fish raising and get nervous when I see the slightest variation in their habits.

I found some Fungus Clear Tank Buddies fizzy pellets and was going to try thouse but haven't done that yet.

Any suggestions?
