I am starting my first 10g tank. Right now I have zero fish but will probably be taking 2 of my husbands Plattys out of his 29g tank. I am looking for other ideas. I was thinking of having a beta because I love Betas but what fish could I put with a male beta? Would the platty's do okay with a Beta? If a Beta isn't a good idea could you give me some other ideas for either a centerpiece fish or some vibrant color fish. Thanks so much.

The Betta should be compatible with the platys. Of course, all fish are unique and have unique temperments. I would say, give it a try and keep your eye on them. It should be fine and Bettas are beautiful fish. From what I understand they are trainable too. They have great personalities and like to play.
