ok so i have a 40 gal tank with 6 black skirt tetras, 2 black mollies, 6 z danios and 1 ropefish.

Though cycling has been a royal pain in the bio wheel, i finaly have all my levels ammonia/nitrite/nitrate in check. However one of my black mollies is displaying odd behavior and i cant figure it out. first it was just less movment, then i noticed increase in gill fluctuation. Both of my mollies appear to have silver behind thier gills it almost looks like a bubble under the flaps, is this normal? I'm on day three of maracyn 2 treatment and my molly doesnt look any better, she just hovers on the bottom and occasionaly has white stringy poop. My other molly of the two appears just fine and active altho he also is showing silver under the gill flaps. does anyone know whats happening?

thx for ur help

Possible parasite infection here, raise the temps, this should help mollies from shimming. Do not add salt, not needed for health of mollies, water hardness is more important. For possible internal parasites, feed them crushed garlic or buy some food that is laced with Garlic. This is far cheaper and easier to do than doing other chemical treatments. Also, Mollies and other live bearers are sensitive to water parameters. Keep an eye on them, and do water changes often.
