About how long does it take a fish to reach full adult length? I just bought 2 blood parrots for my 55 they are about 3 inches. How long will it take them to be full grown in perfect water conditions?

Several months, I suppose.

Fish grow at diff lengths at diff speeds. For example, Oscars grow to full length, 12 inches, in several months in prime conditions. Other fishes can take YEARS to grow to full length.

The average life span blood parrot is 10 years and they reach an average size of 8 inches.

As to when they would reach the maximum potential size would depend on number of time things such as feeding, water condition, size of tank, tank mate and many others.
