We live on a pretty quiet street, maybe 3 cars an hour pass by. The road that runs parallel to ours is an extremely busy road, at least 5 cars a minute.

Of course when they made the detour, our road is the easiest to use.

This freakin sucks. :shark:
 
Yep, a reminder that cone season is fast approaching. I recall a few years back they did something similar here in town--but there was a school on the detour road. A bunch of parents protested them routing all that fast traffic past the school, and were able to get it changed to go through someplace else. How long do they think the construction will take?
 
On a positive outlook, you know you live on a better road than the other one... :)
 
I sympathize!! I live on a dirt/gravel road and people will go a bit out of their way to avoid it because it can get some pretty bad potholes sometimes. But people don't realize that if you don't drive like an idiot they're not bad!! I just keep crossing my fingers that it doesn't get paved anytime soon!!!
 
Some roads are called "courts." They are nice in the fact that there's not much traffic at all..... :D
