my 12 gal is on a table which has had heavier things before but im afraid a slight curve in the surface will break my tank with time,,the tanks bottom frame suspends thes glass from touching the table,,,will this save me?

(you can see the light passing through when u look below the frame thats the slight curve on the tble

Geez JA, just noticed your Name, and what is directy under it...TOILET...You are toilet obsessed!!!! well consider that 12g filled with acces. and gravel is like 135 lbs....it might cause problems because the weight of the whole tank can be spread over only the part that is touching, but if you say that the tank is designed or flawed this way. If it is designed to be curved than it won't cause problems, if it is flawed, than it will.

no its designed to be suspended on the frame,,and the frame is the one on the bent table so if u say ,,it wont cause problems,,and about toilets, lol dont ask why but i just love toilet jokes

so you mean like this....

you get the concept, I hope...^
except the bump is wayyyy smaller and rounder right....if so, then that may cause the problem

The frame of the tank, and therefore the tank itself, must be level. An unlevel tank will cause extreme stress on the glass and can result in a broken tank.

Level underneath the table to get it as level as possible, and if the table surface is not level, then put a piece of foam bewteen the table and the tank. The foam will conform to the table top, and evenly support the tank.

From experience, I think "I hear ya toilet" means that when one has been drinking, sometimes one can have a conversation with it. Ha! Ha! Some people never learn...I'm one of them...
