Bow tank substrate

Is there an easy way to calculate how much substrate to use for a bow tank?

I'm interested in a 2.5-5g mini bow and I'd like to know how much flourite I should set aside for it.
 
Just go lenth x width at the widest point. you'll haev a little extra but hey, better too much than not enough. If you are using the rest in another tank you can always take some back out and put it in the bowfront. I used like 18 pounds of profile and 80 pounds of sand in my 72 bow.

Same here, except i used 40 pounds of flourite, and 60 poudns of gravel in my 72 bow front. Got me an 3 inch bed.
