Does the Eheim 2213 filter come with everything to get it up and running or does anything extra have to be purchased.

All the 2213s I've seen lately come with everything you'll need, including media, hoses and fittings. Years ago, with Eheim filters, you had to buy media separately, but now they generally come with media, too.

Some of us preferred the old days. I have boxes of unused media. But don't ask, I might want it someday.
I know! You can't find an Eheim Classic these days that comes without a box of Ehfisubstrat. Not much use in bio-only canisters...
