Dead Fish

I just came home from a 5 day holiday and I have had a friend look after the tank. He said that both my clowns were in the tank yesturday, but they are not now!!! I have checked all around the tank, no fish, it is not visible anywere in the tank either, I am so confused.

I figgured I have 2 possible outcomes.

1. It is dead and lying somewhere in the rock work

2. A crab or something ate it, and I am stuffed

What should I do?

1st step--hold off on purchasing any more fish.
2nd step--test for ammonia--if the fish is rotting in there, you may see a small spike, but more likely, the cleaners have done their job.
3rd step--figure out what killed them. Clowns are pretty hardy, so if something killed them, less hardy fish will be goners too.
