Hi everyone!

I have a question actually for a buddy of mine.

First off, he has a 29 gallon freshwater aquarium, it's been up and running for a few months, so it's all cycled and everything.

He currently has the following:

6 Male Endlers
1 Female Betta
7 White Cloud Mountain Minnows
1 Apple Snail

I am pretty sure that he can stock his tank with some more fish right?, so what I am asking is if anyone has any suggestions/input on what he can put in there that's of course compatable with what he has.

I'm pretty sure also that your friend can stock the tank with a few more fish, but I wouldn't overdo it. 1 blue or pearl gourami would be nice as a centerpiece fish. Or you could definetely add 4 or 5 cories of any variety (skunk, leopard, panda, etc.). That will certainly add life to the aquarium. Cories are very interesting fish. :)

While I agree they're beautiful and make a nice centrepiece, I wouldn't add a gourami to this tank - like the betta, gouramis are territorial, and they may fight.
A few dwarf loaches (Botia sidthimunki) or kuhli loaches would be nice, or a small group of panda corys (some corys get too large for a 29g, pandas stay ~1.5" so you could easily have a group of 3-6). A group of otocinclus catfish would be fun to watch, and will keep the tank sparkling clean as well (but even though they eat algae he'll still need to spot feed them). If your friend wants an interesting looking single fish, how about a rubber lip or clown pleco?
