Hi All

I just bought the Interpet water test kit (liquid version) and was doing all the tests which were going well up until I got to the PH test, the instructions say I'm supposed to add 7 drops of test mixture and compare the colour, which is supposed to be either som, ewhere between orange or green, I somehow got a colour of yellow which isn't even on the chart !!!!, does anyone know what a reading of yellow means ???. My fish all seem happy and healthy but I'm now worried there all swimming round in water with a PH of 1 or something , please help !!!!

Whats the range for? My testkit has two PH tests, for low range and high range. I think that means my kit, using both tests will detect PH from 5.5 on up to 8.something. Of course my PH is usually in the middle area, so I have to use both to make sure I get an accurate reading

EDIT: another poster from a previous PH thread had took pics, this kit is common around here:

Lets say you only had the high range test, you will prolly want to get the other low range kit to get an accurate reading.

Thanks for the info but the kit says its a broad range PH test kit, no doubt less accurate that a specific high/low test kit, but as I say I'm more concerned I've manged to get a colour which isn't even listed on the colour chart. But I'll check out your URL and see how your recoomendation compares, thanks

Repeat the test first, before you buy another kit. We get a lot of posts where an otherwise occupied mind added an extra drop of something:)
