I was wondering if anyone had seen killies at their LFS recently. all mine has had are golden wonders and a huge batch of baby blue lampeyes (barely 1/2 inch long), would like to find some more with different colors. are they seasonal?

ya i noticed at my lfs which in genral keeps alot of not so coomon fish didnt really have a lot of killies and its because there more sensitve to water condtions so they are harder to keep in a store with little montering of the water going on so if your looking to get some find out what kind you would like and a few others just in case they cant get the one you want and see if they(lfs) can order you some
Many Killies are annuals so only live a short time. Killie fans usually buy eggs and hatch them themselves which is very easy. I suggest you search for the AKA (American Killifish Assoc.) and see about getting some eggs. You can also find them on AquaBid. Check your local clubs as there are usually a few Killie people there.
I've never seen a killi fish at the LFS before, even though the LFS has a large selection of fish.
