has anyone ever joined 2 or more tanks together with a plexiglass port?
just wandering,

never done it myself , but have seen it done before. It was near the top of the tank so as the water pressure didnt have an effect leaking or so I was told.

Check out this -- a water bridge. It should do what you want.

Thank you Jim, but thats not at all what i'm looking for, i'm looking into something through the sides, something involving cutting a hole in the sides of 2 tanks and then joining them with a tube. The tube being glass or plexi in material and 4"-6" in Dia. x 12" in length

There was a period back around 1990 when tru vu used to make acrylic tanks with a tube joining tanks. I would say they were about 3 inches round maybe 6 inches long, usually about mid tank. I haven't seen them in years.

I was going to have the local glass company cut it for me. The guy I talked to said he would do the cuts for $10 each.

You will have to be very careful what you place the tanks on. The tube connecting the two tanks will be subject to a heck of a lot of stress if the the stand has even the smallest amount of flex or unevenness. Unless you have some sort of flexible connection envisioned between the tank and the tube.

Good luck and post pictures if you get something to work.

Jim
