How current is too much for baby angels

I just put 2 (size = half dollar)
in a 72 gal tank and a Fluval 404 …

Sometime I see the angels seeming blown away
Also when one of them is swing against the current all his/her fins are clamped together, but the fins go back to normal when he/she is on the other side on the tank..

I hope this is not stressing the poor guys.
Please let me know if this is too much current for the little angels

Thax

it the Ehiem have a comparable flow rate like the Fuval 404..
404 has about 340 gal/hr..
How big are ur angels... mine are soo small.. so i worried..

Angels generally don't like too much current..there are a select few who love diving in and out of it though LoL :) My one angel won't go near the filter out flow but the other one loves it. Mine are a lot bigger than yours though, so I would try to adjust the flow a bit to make it a little less powerful, at least until they get used to it and maybe grow an inch or two and are better suited to handle the stronger current. You dont want to stress them out too much since you just got them....just ease them into it
Hope that helps

i will reduce the flow..
but will my filtration be effected...???
also will the reduce flow effect the good Bacteria in my filter..

it should not but I rather hear it from some else then my own little brain
:)

I got that one. :p: My angel loves swimming in and out of the stream. My current flows from the surface of the water down. I'll watch him swim up to the top, jump in the current and rocket to the bottom, then turn around, come back and do it again, over and over. At first I thought he was stuck or hurt, but he stops whenever he gets tired of it.

Hey there kamla. Your filtration shouldn't be affected at all and neither should the Bacteria. You dont have to reduce the flow by that much, just enough that it doesnt blow them from your tank to china :)
