Can anyone identify the fish I saw at the local lfs. No one at the store knew what they were. the fish came in with the common pl*co's, it has nearly the same coloration and shape as the common pl*co but is flatter and has barbels under it's face area. this fish also is a very fast swimmer and burrows under the gravel almost completely, I think it may be some type of catfish not sure. any help greatly appreciated, may go back after them if I can get them identified and they would do well with my other fish. also they were real cheap for a fish in this area less than $3.

they look like the bajo cats. how do they compare to the common pl*co price wise, the lfls has them priced the same as the common pl*co. do they require any special care.
are they good in a community tank or do they get a bad attitude when grown. thanks for the web site info.

It prolly a BANJO(I think) cat...They get realitivly big and need drift wood in the tank...I think they eat it...and also they need lots of caves..and I think they eat other small fish..such as tetras .. neons ... cardinals ....
I read a book that had a whole artical about them...

Well, they are banjo's and i went back to the lfs in Bristol and got all 5 of them. $2.99 each, even ask different people from yesterday and they said the fish were pl#co's. Oh well. Thanks for all the info. Don't think the lfs people are too bright or at least they don't train their people very well.
