i went to good will once, and saw a big 20-30 gal tank therefor like 10$. that was back b4 i got my 1st fish. now i wanna go see if they still have it(but i kinda doubt it). what i wanna know is is there a way to tell if a tank is waterproof and secure before you buy it? :thud:

You can check the silicon seams, making sure that they're soft, not yellowed, and firmly seated. These are good indications that the tank will hold water, but there's no way to be absolutely sure without filling it.

.

Also, if you see one that cheap, if you have the spare cash I would always buy it!! If it turns out to leak you could always resell it for a reptile, hampster, etc. cage!!

yea. good points, and if it turns out to leak alot, i can smash it for fun! no just kidding. i could just keep it til i find a good use for it.

You should just buy it anyways even if you do not know if it leaks or not. $10 isn't much at all and it's a great price for a 20-30 gallon tank. If it does leak, it shouldn't be hard to repair.

well, went. wasnt there. but i know it WAS there, cuz there was FISH FLAKES there. but i also saw the box to a battrey run air bubbler thingy.its for if the power goes out. so do they still sell those?(asking for links!)

Have seen them in Drs. Foster and Smith catalogue.
