I was looking at my tank and i saw a neon how was relli heavily breahin bt i jist left it i thought it wood pass through it whateva it was. yesterday i went to check the fish and it was no were to b seen so do u nthinkm it has died and my otha fish have ate it
they wood av been hungry becos they wer fasting for tht day

Check the tank ,because if he looked stressed then he might try to find a dark place to hide. Or he could be dead and in that case you will have to find him or you could have an ammonia spike on your hands(depends on tank and filter size although).

IO'd call off the search parties, the reality of the situation is this, if he's dead then its a pretty safe assumption he's been eaten, and if he's alive then he'll want to stay hidden, either way leave your tank alone, if he is in there and alive then he'll show up sooner or later. Either way though its hardly worth tearing your tank apart to find him

Dont know if you were refering to my post but checking your tank dosen't means ripping it appart( You can check your tank from the outside as well).
But I will say it is better to get a dead fish out of the tank because there is a chance no one will eat it, happened to me on a number of occasions.

ashdavid, I agree if the fish is visiably dead and you can retireve it then by all means fish the little guy outta there, but the only point I was trying to make was dont go to any major effort to go hunting for a dead neon as odds are its already been eaten

Well thats good, b/c I thought we were on the same page. I agree with you 100% Vyper. And jnr102030 good luck with finding that neon. :dive:
