I would like to do a big breeding project this summer, since I will have alot of time. I dont know what I want to breed yet though. I am already breeding guppies and trying to do platys. The one fish that I dont want to breed is convicts. I do want some kind of fish that is easy to breed. Does anyone have any ideas. Anything will help!!! Oh yeah I have two set ups that arent in use one is 30 us gallon and the other is 25 us gallon. I was also thinking of angelfish or killifish.

wow!! thats a great idea ive never even thought of that. I will do some research but that sounds really cool!! thanks keep the ideas coming

Apistogramma cichlids will net you some profit, and will breed in tanks as small as 10g. At $15.00 - $25.00 in lfs you will not have any problems getting rid of the offspring.

What is your breeding set up going to be? # of tanks? size? Water parameters?

Whatever it is I would go with cichlids (African or South American depending on local water parameters). Standard practice is to obtain half a dozen or so, put them in a tank, and wait for them to pair off. Then move pairs into seperate tanks, and begin feeding a large variety of frozen and live foods. Live bbs is often used to incourage breeding.
