Can Tubalfex worms carry the ich parasite?

I have a tank that has been established for a while. It has 5 baby clown loaches, a pair of German Dwarf Rams, a Bronze puffer, and a couple of ghost shrimp. I've had all these fish for at least a month and all of a sudden two of the loaches seem to be covered in ich. I can only think of a couple of things that would have introduced ich

1) It was already present. I had fish in this tank prior and transfered them to a larger tank. I don't actually think this is it because non of my fish in the larger tank have ever shown any indication.

2) One of the clown loaches had ich and I didn't catch it early and now it's multiplied in the tank

3) tubaflex worms carry it. I don't feed live food very often but sometimes I give it to them as a treat.

P.S. Where is the link to the Ich article? I searched and couldn't find it. I've added 3/4 cup of kosher salt to my 28 gallon hex and raised the temp to 83.

im not sure bout getting ich from live tubifex, but heres the link to the ich article...

i know clown loaches are very susceptible to ich and bad water quality may cause it. some say its always in the tank and it takes stress to bring it on, and others say it has to be brought in by another host, im really not sure...

No, tubifex can not carry the ich parasite--it attaches to fish, preferring high blood sites like the gills. Most likely, someone, probably the clown loaches, has a subclinical case, confined and hidden in the gills, that is now spreading.
