just wondering what you guys thought so far as color of substrate for this tank Im plannin. The color will determine the color of the rocks and caves in it, and Im plannin it to be very rocky and cavey!

Thanks guys!!!

Voted other, I like tan-brown\natural colored gravel. It looks more "earthy" and more natural for the tanks look...

as a close friend of raleigh theodor sakers, i would go with tan-brown gravel, but as low in the spectrum as yo can. Remember this; the darker the gravel the brighter the rest of the tank appears. BB's are smart fish and they will know the difference between the substrates.

I all ready have two tanks with a tannish-brown/ natural look. Im going for somethin that says rock quarry/jagged caves! maybe a single lil java fern, but thats it!

woopwoop Im so filled with joy at the thought of it :D

No black for sure! These guys hide as it is if they are shy! Get something that you can see them against.

Mine has a neutral brown/white small pea gravel mixed with all sorts of tiny (less than 1 cm) sea shells adding a gray, pink and black tint to the rocks. It's very natural looking for a "beachy" feel. I also added larger rocks and bigger shells for hiding out.

Please more responses!

Its not like this isnt the most interesting thread! :D
