dropsy treatment in a planted tank, safe???

I've been struck with a bad case of dropsy on my neon tetras. Should I quarantine the affected fish in a hospital or just medicate the main tank.

Is it safe for the plants, Ive bought baktopur by sera...

Ive lost 2 of them already and 2 of them are showing signs of dropsy. I thought dropsy wasnt contagious.... Help!!

Dropsy itself isn't a disease therfore not contagious. Usually there is some other disease present and dropsy is a result from it. If that makes sense?

Try and identify if there is an underlying condition. This site may help you and you may want to post all your readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and PH. Somone with mor experience may be able to offer more helpful advice.
