So I got the 55 all ready for stocking but I've hit a brick wall. The skimmer for my 30 gallon is a CPR Bak Pak II which works perfectly. However the skimmer will not hang on the side of the 55 due to the size of the side braces. I dont have enough space under the cabinet for a sump and because the tank hasnt been pre-drilled I'm looking for another way to skim ! Are there any skimmers that will sit outside a tank and outside a sump that will draw and feed water to the tank through hoses ? I have a cupboard under the tank that a stand alone skimmer would fit in and I could run the piping up the back of the tank.
