My test kit is a hagen kit. The Kh formula it gives is in Mg/L (millagrams per Liter) the calculator I've seen does degrees or parts per million. Anyone know how to convert?

My water is naturally ph 7.2 with a kh of 40 mg/L the kh is ok but not great so I got some Ph stabalizer (also from hagen) and raised it gradually up to 70

So i then did a DIY Co2 my Ph went from 7.2 to 6.8 overnight(its bubbling alot) Im using a elongated airstone (its 3 inces long) I'm getting about 10-15 small bubbles.

I have to go to work soon Just making sure It's ok. I don't want my Ph to go too much farther down do I? Will it?

Multiply your mg/L number by .056 to obtain degrees. Therefore, at 70, your kH sits at about 3.92 d*kH, which is fine.

I wouldn't expect your pH to drop much more. You've already seen a fairly impressive drop considering you are only using an airstone to diffuse the Co2 into the water.

Cheers.

Thanks for the info.

The airstone was just a cheap tempoary solution to making the DIY diffusor with a pump......but since its doing pretty good I think I will stick with what I have now.

The fish seem as happy as ever.
