Loud Filter

My Cascade 200 has recently become very loud. I changed the filter and cleaned the rest of of the filter out,but it is still loud. Has anyone elses filter done this? The sound is like a gurgling and hmmmm of the motor. Any ideas on what could be causing it?

It may be some air trapped around the impeller,,turn it on and off a few times,this may help.

This works best on the HOB type.

make sure there is no hair or gunk clogging your impeller roter.

Empty and re-prime. Theres too much air somewhere in the filter.

Found the problem...i had the flow turned down too much and was backflowing into the aquarium. Ooops.
