after doing maint on a ac300, the impeller was broken, we had a old ac500 wich was cracked and not being used so just for the heck of it we tried the impeller from the ac500 on the ac300, and it fit perfect. put it back on the tank (a 55gal), which has 2 ac300 with the repared one, now after primed it works excellent, but noticably pumps a lot faster than the other ac300, now my friend is going to buy another impeller to replace on the other ac300, no i know you dont have as much surface for bacteria as the ac500, but you sure move a lot more water than just a ac300, and you probably void any warrenty by this.
just posted this for your info and comments on this, has anyone tried this before.
