My tank is still cycling ,( with fish ) into the 7th week,is it ok to add some plants now, or will the ammonia and nitrites hurt them?

Now would be good. And as many plants as you think you can pack in, and then about 10% more. :)
If you want the filter to be cycled, hold off on the plants - they do not mix well with ammonia supplement, you are asking for algae city.
If you are not so picky, heavily planted tanks really do not need as much biofilter as FO, if any at all when not overstocked. Then you could just go to full planting.
But only do that if you are comfortable with plants and confident that they will do well. Decaying plants are a highly significant bioload all by themselves.
