Excellent post!!

Some will say, 'Big deal, Red China has aways been there..'

Now some facts come out to show what's happening over "there" !

"China's spectacular economic boom may be inflicting a terrible toll on the global environment, a new study warns."

---It's very strange that the U.S. is "fueling" this communist country.... ---

They're not "true" communists. They can have private property and businesses.

America's hatred of communism was all political anyway. We just wanted more countries like us and not like the Soviet Union.

yup, chinas economy is not very communist at all. They are becoming more and more capitalist everyday.

In any case, china is exempt from the Kyoto (which it signed) because it is still considered a developing nation. So no hope on that front. What will probably slow chinas pollution is the increase in prices of fuels and raw materials. After all, these things are all pretty limited, and china is consuming huge numbers of them.

Thanks Joe, and good point about WalMart, etc.
I think, because of it's high population, once it gets going, China's economy will become an avalanche and eat up anything.

Quite the opposite. Developing countries almost always have significantly higher growth rates than developed countries. In a few years, China will become a 'developed' country, and its growth rate will drop down to a level more consistent with developed countries, probably around 3-4% GDP.

The basis for my comment was China's enormous population The economy may slow after a while, but I think will grow past other developed countries.
