my pond has green water and algae on the side, the problem is, we dont want to get algae pellets because it kills plants and CuSO4(Copper 2 Sulfate) kills fish! What to do?

some people use UV sterilizers on ponds. it kills any microscopic life like floating algae.
Do you have enough plants to use up all available nutrients? Hornwort is good, plus it adds lots of oxygen. I think water lillies are good too. Floating plants will block some sunlight which the algae needs. Try to cover about 50% of the surface with plants.
Have you been fertilizing the plants, or using soil like miracle grow? If so you may have way too many nutrients which the algae is taking advantage of. If you use fertilizer tabs or spikes these go deep in the soil where algae can't get it.
