I did some research and I am trying to get my pond snail population under control...I did a 30% water change on Sunday and uprooted about 1/3 of the plants in my 20G to soak in the bleach solution, then washed them in the water treated solution and then rinsed...all taking less than 10 minutes total.

All the plants (and the fish) seem to be much happier since I got rid of dozens of snails and eggs off the plants except for my agonoton (sp?) crispus. It's a leafy light green plant grown from a bulb from Sea-Life, Inc. It was a cheap plant but it doesn't seem to be coming back despite the fertilizer which it usually loves. And the other plants grown from bulbs don't seem to be affected.

Does anyone know what can help? It has sprouted two new bright green leafs since Sunday, but the rest of the plant is turning "see-though" and unhealthy looking...

Common pond and comon ramshorn and MTS do not damage plants. An excess of any or all of them indicates a too rich tank - too much food, insufficient water changes. Inbalance of light and nutrients damages plants.
