There have been a few days so far this year where it rains and earthworms manage to find their way into my pond, where they fall to the very bottom and cannot get out. If I'm not busy at work I can afford to take the time to fish them out, but I won't always be able to do that, and sometimes they are very hard to reach. I do have 3 goldfish in quarentine right now, though, so in 2-3 weeks they can be introduced (will get 1 to 3 more, later on). they are very small, though, too small to eat an entire earthworm.
my questions are, does anyone have a way to prevent earthworms from falling into the pond? and when they do, is it good for the goldfish if I were to cut up the worms and feed them to the fish? I would think it'd be a very good snack, but I haven't fed any of my fish bugs from outside yet.
